Cristiano Ronaldo is making absolute big bucks whenever he's not kicking a ball about, it has emerged.

The four-time Ballon d'Or, winner, who topped the Forbes rich list when it comes to athletes in 2017, rakes in a reported £365,000 per week at Real Madrid thanks to his lucrative new contract.

But through posting on Instagram, where the Portuguese superstar has 116 million followers, he isn't far off making the same amount he collects off Real Madrid on a weekly basis.

According to a new study from HopperHQ, via Goal, when Ronaldo advertises a product or brand on his social media channels, he makes a whopping £308,000. Of all the celebrities in the world, only Selena Gomez, who rakes in £424,000 per post, and Kim Kardashian, who casually pockets £385,000 every time she posts, are above Ronaldo in the money-making rankings.

Lebron James, who is second to Ronaldo in the Forbes rich list rankings, makes £92,457 whenever he does sponsored posts on the 'gram' and completes the top 10 for Instagram cheques.

In addition to his social media earnings, it also costs a fortune to hire Ronaldo for a day.

According to information from the Football Leaks: The Dirty Business of Football book being brought out by Der Spiegel journalists Rafael Buschmann and Michael Wurzinger, who are working alongside with the Football Leaks website, provides insight into how much his services cost.

The 32-year old phenomenon is available for half a days work, and as a Saudi telecoms firm found out in 2013, Ronaldo will cost an eye watering amount to hire.

The book reveals that Mobily struck a deal with Ronaldo's Irish image rights company, Multisports & Image Management whereby they would get four-and-a-half hours of his time.

The service consisted of a photo-shoot, five signed shirts and two plugs across his social media channels, where CR7 has an enormous following.

Moreover, the firm were allowed to use images of the former Real Madrid that were taken on the day, but the advertising was only regional as the publication was limited to the Middle East and north Africa area.

For all of the above, Ronaldo and his representatives charged the company a monumental £920,000.

So if you want the Real Madrid star to do some work for you, you better be saving your pocket money.
