There's one 'fan' inside the iconic Mestalla for tonight's Champions League clash between Valencia vs. Atalanta despite the game being played behind closed doors.

But there's one supporter inside the ground in the shape of Vicente Navarro who was immortalised as a statue following his tragic death in 2017.

Navarro had his season ticket for years despite going blind in his 50s, but he kept his season ticket because he wanted to feel the atmosphere at the games.

And when he passed away, the club put a statue of him in his seat so he would forever be at Valencia's matches.

Tonight, his statue is the club's only spectator.

"This, this might be the best thing I've ever seen in our game, how amazing, how humbling. Chapeau Valencia chapeau," one social media user wrote.

A second tweeted: "Be good if the players ran to him to celebrate."

A third added: "The statue was unveiled for Valencia's centenary last year. He represents all fans. So technically the stadium is full!"

Valencia are on the brink of Champions League elimination as they trail Atalanta 6-2 on aggregate.
