Alexis Sanchez's future has been a constant source of speculation ever since the Chilean refused to commit his future to the North London club earlier this season.

In a similar situation to teammate Mesut Ozil, the consensus was that the 28-year-old was waiting until the end of the current campaign to sit down and discuss his options based upon the Gunners' performance this season and their ambitions in the transfer market.

However, due to the Gunners' recent wretched form that has seen them slump out of the top four in the Premier League, coupled with a reported training ground bust up with several first team members that led to Sanchez being benched for a 3-1 defeat to Liverpool at Anfield, the former Barcelona man is believed to be reassessing his initial plans and could leave the Emirates Stadium.

Here's Sanchez throwing a strop following Chile's defeat to Argentina back in March:

And the key factor in why Sanchez is said to want out, as per the latest development from The Mirror's Adrian Kajumba, is that he has become increasingly frustrated with his Arsenal colleagues not being able to boast the consistency and results that their abilities and talents should be producing.

The report says that Sanchez is well aware of the high-quality players Arsenal possess, but he has been left "baffled" by their inability to apply their talents accordingly, particularly in the big games - the performance in the 2-0 defeat at White Hart Lane in Sunday's North London derby the most recent instance.

Apparently, there is a new and improved offer on the table for Sanchez, but it is looking increasing unlikely that he will not sign on the dotted line.

His frustrations on the pitch have been clear this season, with his body language especially striking when things haven't been going well - and he even reacted angrily to being substituted in a win over Swansea earlier in the campaign.

Arsene Wenger maintains that his star man won't leave in the summer, which means he would leave on a free transfer the following year if he doesn't put pen to paper.

Chelsea, Manchester City, Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich have all been heavily linked with the former Barcelona man.

Do you think Sanchez will leave this summer?
