It didn't contain the drama of 2011/12 with the "Aguerooooo!" moment but Manchester City are the Premier League champions for the third time.
The league triumph was delayed following the surprise 3-2 defeat at the Etihad Stadium last week but after City beat Spurs 3-1 at Wembley on Saturday, coupled with Manchester United losing 1-0 to West Brom, the league's worst team, City are officially champions.
Pep Guardiola had said he would not be watching as he was out playing golf with his family. However his skipper Vincent Kompany, who has some United ties on his wife's side of the family, was watching with anticipation.
City provided a live stream of the Belgian's reaction at the full-time whistle, with Kompany facetiming his colleagues Kevin De Bruyne and Kyle Walker and keeping his fingers busy in the squad Whatsapp chat.

City will now get ready for a title-party next Sunday when they host Swansea City at the Etihad Stadium.
