Liverpool could be grouped with Barcelona and Inter Milan while Manchester United could be grouped with Bayern Munich in this season's Champions League.

The Champions League draw for the group stage round takes place in Geneva on Thursday.

And ahead of the group stage draw, we take a look at the worse case scenario for the Premier League clubs competing in this season's campaign.

Six-time European cup winners Liverpool could be grouped with Barcelona, Inter Milan and Borussia Monchengladbach.

The Reds faced Barcelona in the 2018/19 term and secured a dramatic semi-final victory over their Spanish counterparts. Another meeting could be on the cards but this time in the group stage.

Jurgen Klopp's side could also be matched against fallen European giants Inter Milan and Bundesliga outfit Borussia Monchengladbach.

Pep Guardiola could meet his former team Bayern Munich in the group stage not to mention Atalanta, who impressed last season, and Marseille.

Just like Man City, Man United could be grouped with defending champions Bayern Munich and could be tasked with taking on their former player in the shape of Romelu Lukaku if they get Inter Milan. Marseille could also be drawn for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side.
