Real Madrid's season has been something of a disaster, to put it bluntly.
Julen Lopetegui and Santiago Solari have both paid the price for Real Madrid's worst season in a long time, with their humiliating 4-1 defeat to Ajax in the Champions League last 16 sounding the alarm at the Bernabeu.
Their horrendous form has led to former coach Zinedine Zidane making a mid-season return, despite leaving Madrid after their 3-1 triumph over Liverpool in the Champions League Final last year.

Zidane reportedly left in the summer due to disagreements with the board over the state of the Real Madrid squad, which went on to lose Cristiano Ronaldo to Juventus that summer.
However, following the underwhelming season, Madrid are interested in revamping their squad next season, with names like Eden Hazard and Christian Eriksen constantly linked to the European Champions.
The current Madrid squad must also be on notice however as Zidane will be looking at shifting some of his players on come the summer.

Four of those players are Raphael Varane, Gareth Bale, Isco and Karim Benzema.
Per MARCA, Madrid believe the quartet will fetch in 200 million euros which could then be reinvested into the squad ahead of next season, where improvement will be expected.
Varane has reportedly expressed a desire to leave Madrid in the last week, as he wants to 'challenge himself again'.
Keylor Navas played in goal ahead of Thibaut Courtois, Marcelo returned after being frozen out by Solari, but more interestingly Gareth Bale and Isco started the game and both scored.
