One of the recent studies from CIES Football Observatory has found that the value of five Manchester United players has skyrocketed since they put pen to paper.

And hot-shot Marcus Rashford is the one who leads the way when it comes to Red Devils' players.

As per the detailed report, which looks at the gap between the fee paid and the estimated value of the player, Rashford has seen a staggering increase of £98 million.

Having come through the youth ranks, the 20-year old prodigy didn't cost United a penny, and going off the research from CIES, his market value is now close to £100 million and sees him in seventh position on the list of "big five league players".

Moreover, his fellow academy graduate, and best pal, Jesse Lingard, is also in the mix, with his meteoric rise resulting in his value growing to £48.9 million.

Anthony Martial, meanwhile, was written off when United forked out big money to sign him from Monaco in 2015 but it's looking like a bit of a bargain now. His estimated market value stands at £72.8 million.

Then, moving onto United's two most expensive purchases, Paul Pogba and Romelu Lukaku, it gets very interesting.

Signed for a then world-record fee of £89 million, CIES's research has found that Pogba's value has soared up to £127.2 millon, giving him an increase of £38.2 million.

As for Lukaku, the general consensus is that he is yet to fully justify his £75 million fee just yet but CIES deem his 25 goals in a United worthy of a whopping £67.2 million rise.

The study also found that Spurs would make £175 million profit if they decided to cash in on their prized asset, Harry Kane, while the figure is £139 million for Dele Alli, a £5 million signing from MK Dons.
