More bad news for Jose Mourinho and the Manchester United faithfuls.
United secured passage to the Europa League semi-final on Thursday night. Though at the cost of two key players.
Not only did Zlatan Ibrahimovic hyper-extend his knee in a grisly looking fall, but Marcos Rojo also suffered a horrible looking knee injury, too.

The Swedish striker is set to miss the rest of the season, and is likely to be sidelined until early 2018 prompting fears he may have played his last United game.

And while Mourinho will be without Ibrahimovic's services, he'll also be unable to call upon his Argentine defender.

It's believed Rojo has ruptured cruciate ligaments in his left knee and will also miss the rest of the season, per Daily Record.
He, as well as the United medical team, were hopeful the extent of the injury wasn't too severe. However, medical tests have proved otherwise.
According to sources close to the player, he is set to undergo reconstructive surgery and is expected to be out of action till September.

"We have Daley Blind that has experience in the position," Mourinho said after securing a spot in the last four of the Europa League.
"And I think it is time for Jones and Smalling to be brave, to risk, because for the team you have to do everything. That is the way I think."
"You cannot do miracles, so miracles I don't expect, but you have to try to do everything to accelerate the process.
They have injuries and even with a crazy mentality will not play Sunday. There are no miracles. But with a special spirit you can [do it] sooner than expected.

So instead of coming mid-May you can come beginning of May. This kind of acceleration of the process."
United are back in action on Sunday afternoon as they face a trip to Burnley in the Premier League.
