It's widely accepted that no other player has been on the same level as Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo over the past ten years.
However, one contestant on 'The Chase' put another surprise name forward in the same bracket as the two titans of world football.
Footage has gone viral of Jason, who works as a scout for Dagenham and Redbridge, somehow mentioning Britt Assombalonga in the same sentence as Messi and Ronaldo while on the popular ITV quiz show.
The Congolese striker has played for the likes of Watford, Southend United, Peterborough United, Nottingham Forest and now current club Middlesbrough.

And when discussing his job of finding gems, he explained that he was looking for "the next Messi, Ronaldo, Assombalonga".
While Assombalonga has been pretty prolific in his career, scoring 132 goals in 312 club appearances in the Championship, League One and League Two, placing him in the same category as the two best players of our generation is seriously reaching.

However, it appears Assombalonga's brother Christopher used to play for Dagenham - so it could well be he was just shouting him out.
Still, it's not the greatest football-related moment on The Chase. Who can forget the time a contestant thought an ice cream van on the pitch helped Darren Bent score the winner against Sunderland?
