Messi and Ronaldo have consistently churned out heroics in the Spanish top flight for Barcelona and Real Madrid, respectively.
From winning the Pichichi (league top scorer) to the La Liga title.
But one award which has eluded the pair of footballing demi-gods is the 'La Liga Player of the Month' gong.
Messi and Ronaldo have only managed to win the 'POTM' award a combined FIVE times since it's introduction in September 2013.

FIVE?!
The Barcelona talisman has raised the 'POTM' award just twice during his illustrious career, while Ronaldo has lifted the individual prize on three measly occasions.

So, that means the likes of Diego Godin, Nolito and Iago Aspas (!!) have won it the same amount of times as Messi!

While Godin is a respectable defender for Atletico Madrid, it doesn't seem right that he's won it the same number of times as Messi.

There's even a player who's won it more times than Ronaldo.
Atleti's Antoine Griezmann has picked up the award four times during his spell in the red and white side of the Spanish capital.
