Like a fine wine.

It was a memorable afternoon for Arsene Wenger, despite a heartbreaking defeat at Old Trafford on Sunday.

Wenger will forever be regarded as one of the greatest managers of the Premier League era and on his final match at the Theatre of Dreams, Manchester United paid tribute to the Arsenal boss with a number of touching gestures.

Despite their intense rivalry down the years, Wenger walked out of the famous tunnel to a spine tingling ovation.

The great Sir Alex Ferguson, who once shared an impassioned and fiery relationship with the Frenchman, handed over a gift to honour his friend.

Jose Mourinho, another bitter rival, even joined in for a photograph as the Old Trafford crowd once again applauded the man who lead Arsenal to seven FA Cup triumphs, 10 major trophies and over 800 Premier League games.

In his post-match press conference, Wenger thanked Manchester United for the classy gesture. He later said that he wanted to share a glass of wine with Fergie.

Something we thought we'd never hear back in the glory days of Vieira and Keane.

"It is the first time I have received a trophy before the game. It was very classy from Manchester United. Now I just want to have a glass of red win with Sir Alex...because it's always a good wine."

Now that is what you call class.
