A lovely strike.

The career of Norwegian wonderkid Martin Odegaard hasn't exactly gone to plan but in his loan spell in Holland, the 19-year old has been getting such much-needed game-time and by the looks of it, he's making the most of his opportunities.

In the 3-1 Eredivisie loss against Ajax at the Amsterdam Arena, Heerenveen were 1-0 down when Matthijs de Ligt opened the scoring in the 31st minute.

However, they were back on level terms instantly courtesy of their exciting Real Madrid loanee a couple of minutes later.

Odegaard received the ball around 25 yards out, shifted the ball onto his trusty left peg and curled an absolute beauty into the far corner.

Odegaard, the youngest player to pull on the iconic white shirt of Real Madrid, is in the middle of an 18 months loan at the Dutch outfit and the temporary stint already looks to be having a positive impact on his game.

After struggling for game-time at Los Blancos, making just two appearances for the first-team and predominantly playing for the club's Castilla side following his big move from Strømsgodset, he was sent out on loan in January 2017.

The number ten's talents have never been in question; that's why every top European club under the sun took an interest in him, but inconsistency and a difficult pathway to the first-team at the Bernabeu saw his rapid rise take a bit of a hault.

Moments of quality like the worldie strike he served up today will need to happen on the regular if he is to properly make the grade at Real.
