Andre Silva scored a dramatic last-gasp winner against Genoa on Sunday and there were jubilant scenes from the AC Milan players.

The Portuguese striker, a big-money arrival from FC Porto in the summer, has scored six goals in the Europa League but really struggled to get going in Serie A.

But, on as a substitute, he proved to be the matchwinner at Stadio Luigi Ferraris, beautifully heading home a peach of a cross from Suso and giving Milan a fourth straight victory in the league, as well as ensuring they bounced back from the midweek disappointment against Arsenal.

It sparked crazy celebrations from the Rossoneri, with players, subs and staff piling on top of one another. Even Gennaro Gattuso got involved, but by his incredibly animated standards, he reigned it in a little.

Commenting on his hugely important first goal in Serie A, Silva said the following to Sky Sports Italia:

"It's different to score in the last minute. I am happy and so is the whole team. Gattuso complimented me, I did a good job and he trusts in me. All coaches say so many things, I have to listen and work. I say thanks to the coach."

The Portugal international will now look to kick on and continue to deliver the goods up top.

"I had to score, I'm happy for the goal in this match," he added.

"I hope to continue scoring many goals, I hope that more goals will come in Serie A after this. A striker must score, but the most important thing is to work. First I think of that and then to score."
