Spurs owe him big-time...

Lucas Moura was the hero for Tottenham as they claimed a 1-1 draw away at the Nou Camp to reach the Champions League round of 16, but Spurs should also be indebted to PSV defender Nick Viergever.

Inter Milan and PSV drew 1-1 at the San Siro, which meant Mauricio Pochettino's side finished in second place - a huge turnaround given their predicament not too long ago.

Moura popped up and finished a flowing team move in the 84th minute but there was nearly more drama in stoppage time in the other game.

Icardi, who had earlier levelled matters in his 200th appearance for the club, was played through deep into stoppage time and was ready to pounce.

But just as the Argentine striker prepared himself to shoot, Viergever produced a Maldini-esque last-ditch challenge to thwart him and avert the danger.

Just imagine how different things could have been had he not made that tackle.

Some Spurs fans on Twitter have already pledged to buy a PSV shirt with his name on - or even better - buy him a pint as a token of their appreciation.

Spurs and PSV have also had a little interaction on Twitter after the Dutch side did them a huge favour over in Italy.
