Many people believe Tim Lovejoy's decision to leave Soccer AM after 10 successful years was the start of a slow and painful death for the once beloved television programme.

Third Eye, Claude Makelele's 'Big Tackle' and Sheephead's famous 'light drizzle' sketch was part of our Saturday morning routine.

Lovejoy walking up the Catwalk to 'Mr Big Stuff' in a Lonsdale polo shirt, Lonsdale jeans and a pair of Lonsdale trainers became iconic.

It was television gold.

Helen Chamberlain became a huge draw for the Sky show, but the 50-year-old, Torquay fan has left the show after 22 years of service.

She will be replaced by former Hull City midfielder Jimmy Bullard and comedian Lloyd Griffith in a major revamp.

Fan favourite 'Fenners' will remain on the show, as Tubes expressed his delight at the new signings:

Bring back Third Eyes and Kung Fu academy and things might just improve. The show once had a viewership of 300,000, but in recent years, those figures have plummeted.

Can Bullard and Griffith bring back the glory days or is this a bad move from the show?
