"It's a pleasure to see you, you're an absolute genius."

These are the words of Newport County manager Michael Flynn, who was awestruck when he bumped into Pep Guardiola ahead of their FA Cup fifth round tie against Manchester City.

In a moment of total respect, Flynn couldn't stop himself from labelling Guardiola a genius as the two teams lined up in the tunnel ahead of kick-off.

The former Barcelona and Bayern Munich was clearly flattered by his words.

League Two side Newport have certainly held their own in the cup tie, considering they are playing the Premier League champions, and go into the break at 0-0.

The main talking point before kick-off was the condition of Newport's pitch.

But Pep Guardiola didn't want to make that an excuse.

"It's up to us to adapt and we accept that challenge." he said.

"They have all been in this situation before, it is part of football and we will absolutely not be complaining about it."

Well, they are struggling to make any sort of impact on the game thus far.

Can Manchester City find a winner in this cup tie? Or will Newport pull off one of the biggest FA Cup upsets of all time?
