A genius at work.

Lionel Messi still has a way of making his teammates look distinctly average, even in a Barcelona training session with some of the world's best players.

In footage that is doing the rounds on social media, Messi is heavily involved in a standard keep-ball session alongside the likes of Frenkie de Jong, Marc-André ter Stegen and Sergio Busquets.

Despite being some of the most recognisable names in world football, though, all they can do is watch greatness unfold as the 33-year-old twists and turns past everyone on the pitch.

It genuinely looks like a walk in the park for the six-time Ballon d'Or winner. He really does make those around him look like schoolboys.

I often run out of superlatives to describe the almost extraterrestrial Messi, but what I can tell you is that every single fibre of his 5′7 frame is built to play football.

His natural talent is something that is talked about day after day, and for that we thank the little magician for the joy he brings to football fans everywhere.

I mean, if you've ever watched the Argentinian up close, then you'll struggle to explain what makes him so good. Because there's so many things that make him good.

To put his genius into perspective, the above compilation of the great man, with quotes from Frank Lampard, Steven Gerrard and Craig Bellamy, among others, has been made and it's the best we've ever seen. Period.

"He'd follow you into a revolving door and still come out first."

"Not only is he the best goalscorer but he is the best passer, he's the best dribbler and the best passer."

"Lionel Messi is the most complete player in history."
