If you're slightly weird like me, then the allocation of a squad number is hugely important.
Your club MUST choose wisely or face the consequences of a strongly worded tweet to their official Twitter page (you have been warned, @officialcufc)
For example, Manchester United's '7' shirt holds great significance in the club's history. From George Best and Eric Cantona to David Beckham and Angel Di Maria (bring on the comments), the number is synonymous with a certain style of play.

Juventus are another club who hold a certain number dear to their heart.
Number '10' has been passed on by some Old Lady greats in years gone by. Roberto Baggio, Alessandro Del Piero and Paul Pogba have all produced magic in the famous black and white.
But the Serie A champions have a new number 10 and his name is Paulo Dybala.
Dybala, who wore the number 21 in years gone by, has been assigned the famous number 10 and with good reason.

The 23-year-old has been a key player in Massimiliano Allegri's side in the past 12 months, scoring 19 goals in all competitions for the Old Lady.
He has been linked with a move away from Turin, with Real Madrid, Barcelona and Chelsea reportedly interested, but it looks like the Argentine forward will stay with the Champions League finalists after being given the number 10.
Can Dybala go on to create history with Juventus? Will he live up to the famous number 10 jersey?
