Jadon Sancho was compared as the "closest thing I've seen to Chelsea [Eden] Hazard" by fans as a compilation highlighted his superb performance against Sevilla.

Borussia Dortmund, who have struggled in the Bundesliga this season, secured a 3-2 victory over the Spanish side in the first leg of their round-of-16 Champions League clash.

However, Edin Terzic's men were placed on the back foot early on as Suso opened the scoring at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan on Wednesday.

Mahmoud Dahoud pulled back an equaliser before Sancho chipped the ball into the path of Erling Haaland, who expertly fired past Yassine Bounou.

Haaland, 20, showed off his brilliance as he completed his brace before half-time.

Luuk de Jong pulled one back for Sevilla in the second half, but Dortmund walked away with the advantage in the round-of-16 tie with their 3-2 victory.

Now, one Twitter account has produced a compilation to showcase Sancho's fine performance as he was overshadowed by the brilliant exploits of Haaland.

While he didn't add his name to the scoresheet, fans pointed out that Sancho played 'really well' when he drifted out to the left over playing out on the right.

And one fan made a bold claim that the 20-year-old Dortmund star, who has been linked with Manchester United again, showed 'shades of Chelsea Hazard.'

"He's so good on the left cuz [sic] that's his natural position," one fan said.

A United fan posted: "@ManUtd are you there?? We missing this piece of cake in our attack. Can't imagine him and Bruno [Fernandes] in same team."

Someone else tweeted: "He is at his best when he plays in [sic] left-hand side. Great game from him. Did read well vs [Jesus] Navas."

While a fourth added: "He's the closest thing I've seen to Chelsea Hazard."

Sevilla will travel to the Westfalenstadion for the second-leg round-of-16 clash with Dortmund on 9th March.
