It has emerged that Manchester United's latest signing Alexis Sanchez will sit next to 20-year-old Marcus Rashford in the Old Trafford changing room for the remainder of the season.

In fact, Sanchez will sit alongside Rashford and his international teammate Jesse Lingard in the coming months, because Jose Mourinho wants the Chilean to give them guidance, via The Daily Mail.

Mourinho believes that both players can learn a thing or two from the experienced Alexis.

The former Chelsea and Real Madrid boss has reportedly ordered that they sit among each other to help their development, which is understandable considering the huge amount of experience Sanchez holds.

The 29-year-old spent three years at Barcelona before making over 100 appearances for Arsenal and now United will expect him to influence other younger players around him.

Mourinho praised Sanchez's influence during his 72 minute cameo against Yeovil last week, insisting that he will 'only get better':

"I'm very happy with Alexis, his performance was no surprise to anyone. He has had three-and-a-half years in the Premier League and there are no questions to ask over him in English football." Mourinho said.

"He has been with us for only three days, but he is an amazing addition. He needed to play, but he wasn't ready for 90 minutes and I was thinking maybe 60 or 65.

He will get better the more time he gets to understand his players and they can understand him."

Sanchez left the Huish Park tunnel to a chorus of boos on Friday night as he stood amongst his new teammates.

The 29-year-old didn't exactly receive a warm welcome from the Yeovil support, but the former Arsenal winger notched an assist on his debut and looked arguably the best player on the pitch.

Throughout the FA Cup tie, chants of "What a waste of money" and "You're just a shit Guardiola" could be heard from the stands, but he deservedly picked up the Man of the Match award.

Thoughts on Sanchez's debut against Yeovil? Is Mourinho right to sit him next to Lingard and Rashford?
