We all know that after being in Russia itself, the best place to watch the World Cup is down the local pub, particularly for England games.

And one landlord has gone to incredible lengths to provide his customers with the best possible experience for this summer's showpiece.

Paul Sandford, who runs the Railway Tavern in Dereham, Norfolk, has forked out around £5,000 to create a special grandstand for fans to watch all the action and drama unfold.

The stand, which took two weeks to build and is situated in the pub's car park, seats 150 people, and is directly facing sixteen 90-inch screens with the game on.

Sandford paid out some serious dollar to create the area but you'd expect the tavern to comfortably make their money back in business. He told The Guardian that the opening game between Russia and Saudi Arabia on Thursday attracted "about 100" people and told SPORTbible he expects 500 plus to pack in to see England's opening game against Tunisia tomorrow evening.

It's normal for pubs up and down the country to get in the World Cup spirit by been blazoned by England flags but Paul, landlord at the Railway for eight years, has gone a step further by temporarily changing the pub's name to "the English Tavern" for the World Cup.

Customers can also make a donation to two charities the pub is involved in: Nelson's Journey and Scotty's Little Soldiers.

We thought our office World Cup set-up was pretty good but Paul has knocked it right out of the park. Here's hoping England get off to a winning start on Monday evening...
