Phil Foden scored a stunning solo goal that started in his own half in an incredible moment for the Manchester City starlet.

Foden, 20, doubled his side's lead against Brighton on Tuesday in spectacular fashion.

The England international picked up the ball inside his own half and raced through on goal, showcasing his underrated strength as he shrugged off his marker.

And he made no mistake once he got inside Brighton's box, poking home as he found the bottom corner for a superb individual goal.

Fans online loved Foden's goal - with some even comparing his heroics to Lionel Messi.

One wrote: "Most players would of went down, rolling around after all the grabbing from the defender, class act him, class player & class goal as well."

A second joked: "Phil Foden is Lionel Messi at this point, I keep saying and no one hears."

A third tweeted: "On the plane and straight into the starting 11, some player!"
