Martin Odegaard produced a masterclass performance to knock Real Madrid out of the Copa del Rey.
The on-loan starlet inspired his side's shock win at the Bernabeu as Real Sociedad secured a spot in the semi-final after beating Real Madrid 4-3.
The 21-year-old, who was playing against his parent club, opened the scoring in the first half with a well-taken goal. He then ran the show from the middle of the park in a stunning display.
Highly-rated Swede Alexander Isak then bagged a brace to put Real Sociedad three-up. Real Madrid pulled one back but the visitors hit back, and restored their three-goal lead. Zinedine Zidane's team netted two late consolation goals.
The talk of the game, though, was Odegaard's performance. He sent social media into overdrive and his individual highlights make for incredible viewing.
"Buzzing to see Martin Odegaard realising his evident potential and Alexander Isak lethal display in front of goal in a massive win at the Bernabeu," one social media user wrote.
A second tweeted: "Martin Odegaard is the future of Real Madrid and today we have suffered it."
A third added: "Not a surprise. Alex Isak, Martin Odegaard, Mikel Oyarzabal are really underrated."
Odegaard, please take it easy man. You got your goal.

i will not tolerate any odegaard hate on my tl. he's a footballer and it's his job to play well for his team, even if it's against his original team. he didn't celebrate his goal and showed no disrespect to madrid, therefore i don't care to hear any shittalk about him at all

Odegaard will return to Real Madrid at the end of the season and judging by last night's outing and his form this season, he could do a job in Zidane's outfit.
