Leicester City' players honoured Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha by wearing special shirts in the warm-up ahead of the game against Cardiff.

After the midweek Carabao Cup tie with Southampton was postponed, the Foxes are playing their first game since their owner tragically passed away at the age of 60.

The Thai businessman was leaving the ground following-1 draw against West Ham United in his private helicopter when it crashed in the arena's car park and killed five people.

Two members of Srivaddhanaprabha's staff - Nursara Suknamai and Kaveporn Punpare, pilot Eric Swaffer and passenger Izabela Roza Lechowicz also lost their lives.

It will be a tough game emotionally for Claude Puel's side given the connection they had with Srivaddhanaprabha but they have commemorated him pre-match with a heartfelt tribute on their shirts.

Leicester also gave travelling fans a special tribute shirt and a free breakfast at the King Power Stadium this morning ahead of their long trip, while the players received a warm reception from the home supporters.

Cardiff, meanwhile, have produced a touching message in their programme for today's game.

It's great to see the football community on the whole come together with a wonderful sense of solidarity. In times like this, football well and truly takes a backseat.
