"Not being dramatic or anything, but I would die for these football boots" - Twitter user @MiraIIas on Sunday 15 October.
Wayne Rooney's sublime choice of footwear for Everton's Premier League tie against Brighton on Sunday afternoon left everyone reminiscing about a pair of 2008 Nike Total 90 Laser II's.
That's right. Rooney decided to turn back time with a classic pair of 'all black' Total 90's and it made everyone scream a little inside.
Brighton midfielder Anthony Knockaert gave the hosts the lead in the 82nd minute, but Rooney secured a point for Everton after netting in the 90th minute.

It may have been a slightly disappointing scoreline for all involved, but who cares. Rooney was the talk of the game during and after the full-time whistle for his wonderful choice of footwear.
Now, just four days after the former Manchester United striker sported the old boots at the Falmer Stadium, the 31-year-old has rocked up wearing another pair of 2008 Nike Total 90 Laser II's in Everton training.
STOP IT, WAYNE!
