Lionel Messi is good, we all know that, but to score more that 30 goals in seven La Liga seasons is seriously impressive. Like, G.O.AT standards of impressive.

The Barcelona forward and five-time Balon d'Or winner bagged another against Deportivo on Sunday night.

In the meantime, Ernesto Valverde's side secured another La Liga title as they remain unbeaten in the league after 33 games, 12 points ahead of bitter rivals Real Madrid.

Back in January, i repeat January, the genius Messi broke yet another incredible record in Barcelona's 5-0 win over Real Betis.

Messi has once again been the driving force as Barcelona have risen to top of La Liga this season, to the surprise of everyone who predicted that Real would walk away with the title.

The little Argentine bagged twice in the match as Ernesto Valverde's side knocked five past Betis, with Luis Suarez continuing his resurgence with another two goals and Ivan Rakitic also getting in on the act.

Messi's second was his 25th of the season in all competitions. That officially made him the first ever La Liga player to have scored 25 or more goals in all competitions in 10 consecutive seasons.

So looking closer at those figures, there isn't a single season in the last nine where Messi has finished with anything less than 38 goals.

This term he's hit the 30 mark with games remaining.

What a man.
