Arsenal fans could be set for some good news about Santi Cazorla soon.

The Spanish playmaker hasn't turned out for the Gunners since October 2016, injuring his achilles tendon and struggling to recover ever since.

He's had ten operations on the injury, with his latest coming along with news that he may not be fit until 2019.

But Arsene Wenger gave some hope last week when he said that Cazorla could be offered a new deal to start at the club, despite admitting he had no idea the player's medical condition.

Yet Wenger has included Cazorla in his 23-man squad list for the Europa League.

So could good news about Cazorla be on the way? You'd have to think that the midfielder is closer to a return that most expected if he's in Arsenal's Europa League squad for this season.

Of course, Wenger could just be hedging his bets in the hope that Cazorla makes a return and it makes sense to have him available to play in cup competitions.

But, regardless, it's good news for Gunners fans who want to see the little magician back on the pitch.
