When it comes to Football Manager, blood, sweat and tears can be shed over a truly magnificent save. Back in November, a new world record was set for 'the longest game of Football Manager ever', but another incredible feat was recorded over the weekend.

Darren Bland may have been awarded a place in the Guinness World Record's 2017 Gamer's Edition two months ago after he played a single game for 154 seasons, but did he travel 3000 miles to watch his dear FM team?

Meet YouTuber Quill Glaude, the Canadian who has taken his Football Manager dream one step further by travelling to Somerset Park to watch Scottish Championship side Ayr United.

The 36-year-old, who has over 400,000 subscribers on YouTube, has spoken about his incredible journey that will no doubt impress fellow Football Manager fanatics like myself.

Speaking to the Daily Record, he said the following about his trip to Ayr:

"I play a lot of strategy games online and we've got a great community going. During the European Championships last year, a lot of my European followers said I should try Football Manager.

"I decided to give it a shot and ended up going as Ayr United because I have a link to the town through my wife. She spent a semester studying at college there around six years ago, so it seemed as good a reason as any.

"I admit my football knowledge was zero when I started but I've really got into it and the videos I've uploaded are proving really popular. Hardcore football fans probably find my approach to games a bit odd, but I'm always learning as I go."

"I love managing guys like Paul Cairney - he's aggressive and always opens up scoring opportunities. The videos get such good feedback - I've got 100,000 people who watch my channel purely for the Football Manager content." he said.

"And whenever Ayr play in real life, all of those people get an alert sent to them. That's why I decided I had to come and see the team play in the flesh.

"We came over here for a vacation and spent New Year's Eve in Edinburgh, but getting to see Ayr play was the highlight.

"It was a bit of a dream come true."

Ayr may have lost 2-0 against Dunfermline on Saturday, but that didn't stop Glaude from holding a fan meet-up for his followers in the town after the game.

Now that's what you call dedication.
