It Looks Like Eden Hazard Will Become Real Madrid's New Number 7

No pressure, Eden.

It looks more and more likely that Real Madrid will hand Eden Hazard the iconic number 7 shirt, worn by the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Raul and Emilio Butragueno.

Hazard, who was linked with a move for what seemed like an eternity, joined Los Blancos last week in a £88 million deal from Chelsea, penning a five year deal.

The 28-year-old then arrived at his presentation with no number on the back of his jersey, leaving many guessing what number the La Liga club would give him.

But images soon emerged of Hazard's number in an official club shop in Dubai, hinting that the talented winger would indeed don the famous number when he makes his debut in pre-season.

Days later, it looks like the club have dropped another hint that the Belgian will wear the number 7 shirt.

Twitter user @FonduEdge claims that he ordered 'Hazard Number 10' from the official club shop, but he was sent a different number all together:

"I chose number 10 online in the real Madrid store ...and i get a number 7" he said.

"Is this a hint to his real number being number 7, because i called them and asked if they would give me his real number on that shirt, and they said no."

As you can see in the below screenshot, the fan clearly ordered the number 10 jersey.

Mariano Diaz currently plays in the no.7 shirt, but it looks like Hazard will take over that responsibility in the coming months.

As we mentioned previously, Madrid's official club shop in Dubai appeared to confirm the news.

Will Hazard flourish in a Los Blancos shirt or will he struggle under his hero, Zinedine Zidane?
