There are a lot of risks involved in a game of football. An ill-timed tackle can put players through some degree of pain and even end careers.
As a professional footballer, you expect to get a kicking, bruises and a busted nose in your career but you probably don't expect to smash your face into a table during a game.
That's exactly what happened to Sydney FC defender Michael Zullo in a 2-1 win against Melbourne Victory on Saturday. When challenging an opposition player, the former Melbourne City man slipped and fell off the pitch where his face collided with a table that was pitch-side near the fourth official. The impact is absolutely brutal.

Thankfully the player was able to carry on but was surely still feeling the effects of such a deadly faceplant.
Maybe the head honchos in the A-League should ensure the fourth officials table is a bit further away from the pitch from now on...
