Sydney FC Goalkeeper Escorts Injured Seagull Off The Pitch In Cup Final

A surprise suspect invaded the pitch in the FFA Cup final today between Syndey FC and Melbourne City.

No, it wasn't a fan, but in fact an injured seagull that made its way onto the pitch in the 58th minute. Melbourne wanted to take a quick throw-in but the game had to be halted because of the injured intruder - the seagull had been hit by the ball.

Sydney shot-stopper Danny stepped up to the mark though, coming to the rescue of the seagull and escorting the bird of the pitch.

Melbourne went on to win the game 1-0, with former Everton striker Tim Cahill scoring the goal to win the cup for Manchester City's sister club.
