However, the Reds are set to miss out on a top four spot, according to a study who say the Foxes will finish above them in the league.

Per FiveThirtyEight, Rodgers' side will finish in fourth place, one point ahead of Klopp's charges - with Moyes' outfit predicted to finish in sixth place.

Tottenham are projected to finish in seventh place while Everton, Arsenal and Leeds United are predicted to finish in the top half of the table.

Liverpool, though, will be hoping their result against the Saints can propel them on a run that can help them achieve Champions League football.

Speaking after the game, Klopp said the only chance they have is to win their last four games.

"I am not sure if keeping our fingers crossed helps, but look, we have to win football games and I think if we win all four it could be enough," he explained.

"But that is just because Leicester plays against Tottenham and each other [with Chelsea], so I didn't really think it through.

"But winning four games is pretty much the only chance we have but that is what we should try.

"It will be difficult but it is what we must try."
