Steven Gerrard doesn't officially take charge of the Scottish side until July 1st but the Liverpool legend has been working tirelessly since his appointment was confirmed earlier this month.
Canadian midfielder Scott Arfield and goalkeeper Allan McGregor are Gerrard's first two signings for the Scottish giants.

According to a report by the Daily Record, Gerrard has his heart set on Premier League veteran Jermain Defoe, and 20-year-old Liverpool forward Dominic Solanke.
Even though Defoe currently sits with two years left to run on a contract with Bournemouth worth around £80,000-a-week, Gerrard remains hopeful of landing the 35-year-old.

Defoe has suffered a partially injury-stricken season only managing to net 4 goals in 26 appearances; however, Bournemouth are confident he will opt to stay at the Vitality Stadium for at least one more season.

Solanke is yet to establish himself at Liverpool following a frustrating season playing second fiddle behind Liverpool's frightening front three of Mo Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane.
Gerrard hopes that the prospect of a Scottish Premier League title race next season will encourage the youthful striker up North for a season.
According to sources on Merseyside, Gerrard's tight relationship with Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp will enhance the likelihood of Rangers completing the Solanke deal.
Further reports suggest that Gerrard has also been linked with a possible loan deal with ex teammate and current Lazio midfielder Lucas Leiva.
