Tammy Abraham Is Only Three Goals Away From Equalling Marcus Rashford’s Best Premier League Tally

Tammy Abraham's scintillating form in front of net could leave Marcus Rashford red-faced as he closes in on his best goalscoring tally in a Premier League season.

The Chelsea striker, 21, has become a regular starter under Blues boss Frank Lampard and has rewarded his faith in him with his goal return.

Abraham has made five league appearances for Chelsea this season and already bagged seven goals, which included a superb hat-trick in the Blues' 5-2 win against Wolves on Saturday.

And that leaves the England international only three goals shy from catching Rashford's best tally in the Premier League.

The Manchester United striker, 21, has never surpassed ten league goals in a single campaign, but that could still change this season under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Rashford has made five appearances this season and scored three times, along with registering one assist so far.

But Solskjaer has made it clear to Rashford and the other United forwards he expects them to score more goals this season.

"You have 38 [league] games, so if you can have 19 goals [each] as a partnership, with those two, so around 40 goals, that's OK, but it's not top, top class," he said ahead of United's 1-0 victory over Leicester City.

"At the moment, Dan [James] has got three, Marcus and Anthony [Martial] have got two each, and that's in our four games, and Anthony only played three of them, so he's improving.

"[To become better] it's anticipation, knowing which position you're in, because the quality is there, definitely, and we're learning where to run, when to run, how to run, and the last finish, they've go to do, of course.

"They're practising all the time and hopefully we can see Dan and Marcus getting goals this week, and Anthony can come next week."

Who will score more goals out of Abraham and Rashford this season?
