Spurs have just beat Real Madrid 3-1 in the Champions League group stage game.

The Premier League side earned a point at the iconic Santiago Bernabeu a fortnight ago, with Mauricio Pochettino's side hosting the defending Champions League holders tonight at Wembley Stadium.

Zinedine Zidane was hoping for a response following the La Liga defeat to Girona over the weekend, but he's been inflicted with more misery after Spurs' stunning victory.

Dele Alli gave Spurs the lead in the first half, with the returning midfielder doubling their lead through a deflected strike in the second half.

Christian Eriksen then made it three courtesy of a brilliant counter attack. Cristiano Ronaldo bagged a consolation late on.

The performance churned out by Spurs sent social media into overdrive. Here's how Twitter reacted:

What a famous night for Spurs in Europe.

Meanwhile, Spurs remain unbeaten in Group H with 10 points to their name, with Real Madrid in second place with seven points.
