Spurs will go into the Champions League group stage draw for the first time since 2010 but after last night's results in the qualifying stages it's going to be far from an easy task to qualify.
In another world Mauricio Pochettino's side could have been seeded in the top pot in qualifying if they'd managed to win the Premier League but after finishing third they had to settle for the luck of the draw.
Once the qualifying rounds had been drawn Tottenham knew that they required Roma to beat Porto to have any chance of being in the second pot for the draw and making life a little easier for them. But last night's 3-0 victory for Porto means that Pochettino's team will be in for a difficult group.

There's a high chance that they will draw one of Bayern Munich, Juventus, PSG, Real Madrid or Barcelona whilst Atletico Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, Sevilla, Porto, Napoli or Bayer Leverkusen await from Pot Three. In Pot Four Spurs will hope to avoid Celtic or Monaco.
Last time the North London club were in Europe's premier club competition they topped their group against Inter, FC Twente and Werder Bremen before beating AC Millan in the last sixteen and losing to Real Madrid in the quarters.
They should have been in the Champions League in 2012-13 after finishing fourth in the league but Chelsea's win against Bayern Munich stopped them.
