Spurs End Dreadful Run At Old Trafford

Spurs End Dreadful Run At Old Trafford

All good things come to an end...

Spurs ended their drab recent record at Old Trafford with a sensational 3-0 win, heaping more misery on Jose Mourinho and Manchester United in the process.

After Romelu Lukaku missed an open goal in the first half, Tottenham were clinical in a two minute spell at the start of the second half.

Harry Kane grabbed his first goal at the Theatre of Dreams in five appearances with a superb header from Kieran Trippier's corner, before Lucas Moura finished a slick counter attack to silence the home supporters yet again.

Prior to this excellent victory, Spurs had not won or even scored away against United in the league since January 1, 2014 but they didn't play like a side who had that in the back of their minds in this game.

Moura, who has started his second season like a house on fire, bagged his second, and Spurs' third, five minutes from time when he raced through and slotted past David De Gea.

The North Londoners are now on three wins from three, while they've just inflicted United's second defeat of the season following last week's horror show at Brighton.

Changes were rung and the system was tweaked for tonight's game but United were again all over the place at the back - with 3-0 probably even flattering United.

Mauricio Pochettino's side were very good value for their long-awaited away win and their lack of new signings doesn't appear to be a cause for concern just yet.
