Gareth Southgate Set To Call Up Three Surprising Names For Brazil Friendly

First Joe Gomez, Tammy Abraham and Ruben Loftus-Cheek, and now Gareth Southgate is set to continue to call up uncapped players.

The England manager called up the trio of players following their performances in the Premier League, with Abraham and Loftus-Cheek selected in his starting XI.

The Chelsea pair are both enjoying spells away from Stamford Bridge. Abraham is on loan at Swansea City following a hugely successful stint at Bristol City, last season.

While Loftus-Cheek is plying his trade at Crystal Palace who impressed in the middle of the park against Germany on Friday night.

And it appears Southgate will add more uncapped players in his squad for the Brazil game on Tuesday night.

According to Telegraph, Liverpool's Dominic Solanke, Bournemouth's Lewis Cook and Manchester City's Angus Gunn are in the pipeline for call ups.

Following the impression the trio of uncapped players made, Southgate is keen on rewarding the youngsters who won the under-20 World Cup in the summer. Coupled with the fact that he's prepared for more drop outs.

Solanke starred for England in the under-20 World Cup, bagging the Golden Ball winner for his heroics.

Cook, who skippered England to under-20 glory, graduated from the Leeds academy before Eddie Howe snapped him up.

Gunn is set to be cover for Jack Butland who broke his finger during England training.
