Soulja Boy Was Playing Football Manager Last Night As 2020 Gets Even Weirder

What an absolute crossover we have here...

Just when you thought 2020 couldn't get any weirder, Soulja Boy was playing Football Manager 2020 last night.

The rapper, known for big hits such as 'Crank That', 'Kiss Me Thru The Phone' and 'Turn My Swag On', is an avid gamer and regularly streams for his 186,000 followers over on his Twitch channel.

But the crossover that came last night was one that we did not expect. Right at the end of a marathon 10 hour stream that saw him play a whole host of games, he almost definitely made history by becoming the first rapper to play FM.

Leading Atlanta United to a last-gasp 2-1 victory over Orlando City in the MLS, Soulja Boy clearly had no idea whatsoever what was happening and required some assistance from British YouTuber Ben Carr, aka, DoctorBenji.

To be fair, we would never have had the 28-year-old down as someone who knows about enganches and liberos but his FM record stands at 100% thanks to his functional 4-2-3-1 formation.

He did only play the one game - deciding to "bask in his victory - but here's hoping this is the start of something very special for the Chicago native. Who knows, maybe he will join a long list of FM addicts to well and truly get the bug?

It didn't take long for word to get around that Soulja Boy was dabbling into the Sports Interactive game that was cited as a cause for 35 divorce cases in 2012.

And quite rightly, everyone, including the official FM account, was majorly confused as to what on earth was going on.

Be right back, just waiting for Taio Cruz to stream some Championship Manager 01/02.
