As football fans, it's pretty normal for us to dislike referees.
Even if they've probably made the right decision, you'll still have fans in the stands hurling abuse at the ref for not giving a 93rd penalty that wasn't exactly clear-cut.
But then again, the standard of officiating in football these days isn't exactly great, is it?

Off the top of my head, I probably couldn't name a referee in the Premier League who I think is a "good referee".
Why couldn't someone just clone Pierluigi Collina?

But some fans of Portuguese giants Porto have gone next level by turning up to the referee's training centre and threatening an official with death if their upcoming game doesn't go in their favour.
According to O Jogo, two Porto ultras were so riled that Artur Soares Dias was announced as the referee for their 16th league match of the season at the weekend that they went to where he was training in Maia, in the outskirts of Porto, and threatened him.
Granted, fans of Porto are understandably furious with the standard of officiating over there after they had a player sent off when the referee treaded on him in the game, but these two fans have definitely overstepped the mark here.
Fontelas José Gomes, who is the president of the FPF Arbitration Council in Portugal was said to be there when the incident took place.
Second-placed Porto travel to play Paços de Ferreira this weekend.
