Some Benfica Fans Went To The Wrong City Of Frankfurt For Europa League Away Game

Introducing one of the biggest football fans mishaps we've ever come across. A group of Benfica fans have ended up going to the wrong Frankfurt in Germany for their Europa League quarter final second leg away.

Clearly not planning their trip properly or doing their research to the fullest, they travelled from to Frankfurt (Oder) as opposed to the Frankfurt where their opponents play their home games. What's more, the cities are 600 km apart and it's a six hour journey,

The whole 37 hour trip has been documented on one of the lad's Instagram pages and it's just one big facepalm, really. It starts off really excited for the away day ahead and slowly but surely they realise what an utter nightmare they've had.

Whether you think it's a simple mistake or just pure stupidity on their part, you can't help but feel for them.

UPDATE: The chaps are now on their way to the correct destination and are hopeful of making it on time.
