Manchester United fans have noticed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's facial expression immediately change after he greeted Pep Guardiola before derby day victory.

Solskjaer got the better of Guardiola as United beat City 2-0 to end their 21-match winning streak on Sunday.

He devised a brilliant game plan as his team secured three huge points and bragging rights at the Etihad.

And United supporters have now come across their manager's emotions towards Guardiola just moments prior to kick-off.

The Norwegian smiled as he fist-pumped the Spaniard then cut a serious-looking figure as his counterpart walked away from his technical area.

A United fan shared the clip of Solskjaer's interaction with Guardiola, accompanied with the caption: "The change in Solskjaer's expression."

Solskjaer's change of facial expression got people talking as they pointed out his nickname the 'Baby Faced Assassin'.

One wrote: "I genuinely want to see a clip of him in the dressing room anytime we draw or lose.. bet it would be scarier than Annabelle comes home."

A second tweeted: "Exactly inside and outside the dressing room is different he isn't called the baby faced assassin for nothing."

A third added: "Happy on the outside a killer on the inside my manager."

The Red Devils climbed up to second in the Premier League table after goals from Bruno Fernandes and Luke Shaw either side of the break.

And speaking in his post-match interview, the 48-year-old talked up his side's performance including that of Anthony Martial who starred up front.

"Even today they put us under so much pressure you could see we were playing against a very good team," he told Sky Sports.

"When you come away with a 2-0 win and another clean sheet and a performance like this then you are delighted.

"Every game is different. We went back to be a little bit what we wanted to be and that's being direct. That was the Anthony Martial of old. Until two hours before warm-up I wasn't sure if he'd play. Today he rediscovered himself. He was really strong on the ball and very positive.

"We have to be positive, we're a positive team. We want to play at a high tempo, but we have to defend well, you have to defend to attack the spaces that appear. There has to be a collective, no team in world football has a chance against them [City] without being a collective, hungry team who knows you have to defend well but also be positive on the ball."

United face AC Milan in the Europa League next before resuming their league campaign at home to West Ham on Sunday.
