Sky Sports' reporter Michelle Owen performed a brilliant tribute to Chris Kamara''s classic moment yesterday when she too missed a red card.

Owen was at Banks's Stadium for Walsall's 1-0 over Tranmere Rovers but had a nightmare oversight when she did not notice that Jay Spearing had been dismissed in the 74th minute.

In scenes that evoked memories of 'Kammy' at Fratton Park, Jeff Stelling crossed live to Owen, who said, "Are you going to tell me someone has been sent off and I've missed it like Kammy?".

The long-time Soccer Saturday presenter confirmed she had indeed done her best 'Kammy' impression, asking her to "get your fingers out" and count the number of players on the pitch.

Again, like the viral incident in the game between Portsmouth and Blackburn 11 years back, Owen thought Spearing had gone off as a sub.

She took to Twitter this morning to explain how she ended up missing the sending off. Although most people saw the funny side, unfortunately the reporter was met with some abuse from social media trolls.

Former football and TV legend Kammy will forever be remembered for the time he missed Anthony Vanden Borre's second yellow and subsequent dismissal on the hour mark on 3 April 2010.

The priceless moment has been viewed millions of times on YouTube.

"In my career, in terms of my TV career and Soccer Saturday, that is the defining moment because it could have so easily went the other way," Kamara told SPORTbible.

"But it went the right way and thankfully it did because it's been watched over 10 million times on YouTube and to this day, people still never get tired of seeing it."
