Have some respect Lionel Messi and Jordi Alba, Carles Gil has a family.

Deportivo La Coruna traveled to the league leaders, and were well and truly spanked. Luis Suarez and Paulinho both bagged a brace as Barcelona secured all three points in a 4-0 victory.

Meanwhile, Barcelona kept up their incredible league form while going six points clear of second place Atletico Madrid, and 11 points ahead of defending champions Real Madrid.
Though the Los Blancos weren't in league action, as they competed in the Club World Cup in Abu Dhabi. Real Madrid claimed yet another trophy after beating Brazilian outfit Gremio by the single goal thanks to a thunderous free-kick from Cristiano Ronaldo - who else?!

However, they avert their attention back to their league campaign as they entertain Barcelona in the El Clasico on Saturday afternoon.
