Watch: What Messi And Alba Did To Carles Gil Should Genuinely Be Illegal

Have some respect Lionel Messi and Jordi Alba, Carles Gil has a family.

Do you guys remember Gil? The Spanish midfielder who played in the Premier League for Aston Villa?

Well, he was savagely ruined on the pitch by not one but TWO Barcelona players in Sunday's La Liga fixture at the Camp Nou.

Deportivo La Coruna traveled to the league leaders, and were well and truly spanked. Luis Suarez and Paulinho both bagged a brace as Barcelona secured all three points in a 4-0 victory.

But one of the main talking points from the domestic meeting was the DOUBLE nutmeg on Gil.

Wow. Just wow.

If getting megged by Messi wasn't bad enough, he subsequently got rinsed seconds later courtesy of Alba who also poked the ball through his legs.

Meanwhile, Barcelona kept up their incredible league form while going six points clear of second place Atletico Madrid, and 11 points ahead of defending champions Real Madrid.

Though the Los Blancos weren't in league action, as they competed in the Club World Cup in Abu Dhabi. Real Madrid claimed yet another trophy after beating Brazilian outfit Gremio by the single goal thanks to a thunderous free-kick from Cristiano Ronaldo - who else?!

However, they avert their attention back to their league campaign as they entertain Barcelona in the El Clasico on Saturday afternoon.

WE. CAN'T. WAIT.
