Naming your son after a football is a risky move if he doesn't end up being any good, imagine if Tyson Fury was a skinny binman, it doesn't quite work out. So if you've named your son Xavi and he ends up La Masia then well played!

The Xavi in question is 12 year-old Xavi Simons, named after the legendary Barcelona player, son of former Dutch journeyman player Regillio Simons. And Simons senior has confirmed that Chelsea want to sign his son saying: "We have spoken to Chelsea and you know it's going to be good money at Chelsea."

It's pretty easy to see why the Stamford Bridge club are interested in the kid by watching this video:

However it seems that Roman Abramovich and whoever the manager is by the time Simons will be old enough to make a first team appearance will have a fight on their hands, not least from Barcelona, with the boys dad adding: "Agents are everywhere...they were starting to approach me making offers for Xavi, asking to be his agents, offering shoes and contracts and money like you can't imagine...We are trying to keep them away, in a polite way."

If he has even half the career to his namesake he'll have done pretty well, although he might want to avoid going the way of his dad, sorry Regi...
