Alan Shearer has bestowed the highest of praise on Sergio Aguero after he scored his ninth Premier League hat-trick in the 6-1 thrashing of Huddersfield at the weekend.
A couple of weeks after scoring his 200th goal for City in the Community Shield against Chelsea, Aguero continues to look as sharp as ever and was unplayable on Sunday.
His three-goal haul means he now sits on 146 goals in 208 appearances, with the former Atletico Madrid man just three hat-tricks away from overtaking Shearer.
And the all-time Premier League top scorer reckons the Argentine ace is the greatest import to come to the English top-tier. Shearer made the declaration as part of his Premier League Team of the Week piece for the official PL website.
Given his exceptional performance level since joining from Atletico Madrid for a bargain price of £38 million in 2011, Aguero is firmly in the conversation.

But plenty of people took issue with Shearer's opinion and were quick to mention greats like Dennis Bergkamp, Thierry Henry and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Thoughts on what Shearer has said? Who is the greatest foreign player to play in the top flight?
