Television microphones picked up Shane Long's expletive reaction to James Ward-Prowse's nasty injury in the FA Cup fourth round replay against Tottenham Hotspur.
With the score at 1-1 at the end of the first half, Ryan Sessegnon accidentally followed through with studs when the Saints midfielder tried to block his clearance - immediately clutching his knee before dropping to the floor.
Having picked up a deep gash on his knee, he was in so much agony that he had to grab onto teammate Danny Ings as he received treatment on the pitch. Ward-Prowse would then be carried on a stretcher as he received oxygen.
Heard James Ward-Prowse suffered a nasty injury tonight, so I searched it up on twitter and I come across some football fans celebrating his injury. Am I missing something?

Anyway, it looked nasty and hopefully the lad can recover soon. #TOTSOU pic.twitter.com/ecxaGh2Ikr
And fans feared the worst for him when they heard Long, scorer of Saints' first goal on the night, come up with some colourful language.
'"F*** me, you can see his f****** bone'', Long shouted as he saw his teammate in serious pain on the turf.
Not looking good for ward-prowse, Shane long shouting "fuck me, you can see his fucking bone"

The 25-year old was replaced by Jannik Vestergaard just before half-time in a game Saints led 2-1 but would eventually lose 3-2 after late strikes from Lucas Moura and Heung-Min Son.
But it's hoped that Ward-Prowse's injury isn't ligament damage - and there's talk that he could even be fit for the game against Burnley at St Mary's on 15 February.
"The worst thing that could happen is (James Ward-Prowse) is injured," Saints boss Ralph Hasenhuttl told BT Sport post-match.
"I think it is not that bad, I think it is only a cut on the knee. That is a positive message for me."
Sessegnon, who was visibly shaken at the injury, wished Ward-Prowse well with a classy message on social media.
Showed good character to come back and win tonight  Also hope that James's injury isn't too serious and he recovers well  #EmiratesFACup pic.twitter.com/rc3vQk6Fqk
