Sevilla Confirm Manager Eduardo Berizzo Has Cancer
Sevilla have officially confirmed that manager Eduardo"Toto" Berizzo has prostate cancer.
Reports from local media in Seville last night emerged after the club's incredible comeback to draw 3-3 against Liverpool in the Champions League, and now an official announcement has been made.

Berizzo took over the Andalusian outfit in the summer after guiding Celta Vigo to the Europa League semi-finals.
Diario de Sevilla broke the news last night and reported that the 48-year old told his players the devastating news at half-time. However, as per CNN Sport, Sevilla told them that players were informed a few of days prior to the game.
Turns out Sevilla players, coaching staff etc knew of Berizzo's situation since Sunday, that was when he informed them. Jesús Navas confirmed just now.- David Cartlidge (@davidjaca) November 22, 2017
The hosts were 3-0 down and struggling by the half hour mark, with Liverpool running riot and goals coming from Roberto Firmino (2) and Sadio Mane.
Jurgen Klopp's troops looked to be on their way to becoming the first side to beat Sevilla on their own path since 2016, but as overused as the cliche is, it really was a game of two halves.
However, a quite remarkable comeback took place. Star striker Wissam Ben Yedder bagged two in nine minutes, including a 60th minute penalty, to become Sevilla's top scorer in the Champions League and set up a grandstand finish.
Then the comeback was complete, Guido Pizarro popping up in the 93rd minute and sparking incredible scenes in Sevilla. The goalscorer and his teammates were straight over to their coach to celebrate the crucial goal.
Terrible news that Sevilla - coach Eduardo Berizzo has been diagnosed with prostrate cancer. Apparently he told the players at halftime. What a response from his players.
Wish him same recovery as his team last night.#GetWell

Awful news that Sevilla manager Eduardo Berizzo has prostate cancer. But to hear he told his players about it at half-time, 3-0 down against Liverpool, and they rallied to draw 3-3, is an example of the power of sport. Good on them

Sevilla trailed Liverpool 3-0 at HT. During the HT talk, Eduardo Berizzo told his players he was diagnosed with cancer. Sevilla come back and draw 3-3.
Would've loved to be a fly on the wall for that halftime speech.
