Sergio Ramos Made A Brilliant Request For Santiago Solari's First Game

Kudos to Ramos for this...

Sergio Ramos made a brilliant request to Santiago Solari ahead of his first game in charge.

Solari, who joined Real as a player from rivals Atletico in 2000 and went on to win the Champions League and two La Liga titles, was previously working as manager of the club's Castilla side.

Following the sacking of Julen Lopetegui after Sunday's 5-1 El Clasico thumping at the hands of Barcelona, Solari has been named as the "provisional replacement" - starting with tonight's Copa Del Rey first leg against minnows Melilla.

Melilla are currently second in the Segunda division B Group 4 and should be easy work for Real on paper. The likes of Gareth Bale, Isco, Toni Kroos and Luka Modric have all been given a rest, while Dani Carvajal, Marcelo, Raphael Varane and Mariano Diaz are absent through injury.

However, club captain Ramos has been named in the squad and as per MARCA that he asked for Solari to include him for his first game.

Clearly, given the humiliation dished out by Barcelona, the former Sevilla defender was desperate to put things right in the next so kudos for him wanting to be involved.

Meanwhile, Ramos seems opposed to the idea of Antonio Conte as the permanent manager of Real Madrid.

Respect is earned, it is not imposed. Neither a name nor another," the Spaniard said, as per the Daily Star.

"We have won everything with coaches that you already know, in the end the management of the players is more important than the technical knowledge of a coach."
