Sergio Ramos has been left OUT of the Spain squad for Euro 2020 while Aymeric Laporte earn his first call-up after switching international allegiances.

Ramos' exclusion means there is not a single Real Madrid player in Luis Enrique's squad for the tournament.

Marco Asensio and Nacho have also been left out with Dani Carvajal and Lucas Vasquez absent through injury.

Premier League stars David De Gea, Robert Sanchez, Diego Llorente, Cesar Azpilicueta, the aforementioned Laporte, Eric Garcia, Rodri, Thiago, Ferran Torres and Adama Traore are all included.

Barcelona midfielder Sergio Busquets will captain the team.

Ramos' omission from the squad comes as a surprise - however, the 35-year-old only played 15 La Liga games last season in an injury-hit campaign.

Spain will be without their most capped player in history with the legendary defender amassing an incredible 180 international appearances.

Enrique's team have two friendlies against Portugal and Lithuania before kicking off their Euro 2020 campaign against Sweden on June 14.

They also play Poland and Slovakia in the group stage phase.
