Ramos' omission from the squad comes as a surprise - however, the 35-year-old only played 15 La Liga games last season in an injury-hit campaign.
Spain will be without their most capped player in history with the legendary defender amassing an incredible 180 international appearances.

Enrique's team have two friendlies against Portugal and Lithuania before kicking off their Euro 2020 campaign against Sweden on June 14.
They also play Poland and Slovakia in the group stage phase.
